Ben Combs
Principal Owner and Operations Lead
Ben Combs is the Principal Owner and Operations Lead of Haco Electric, a company he co-founded in 2007, driven by a deep-rooted passion for the electrical industry. Inspired by his father, who ran his own electrical business, Ben grew up immersed in the trade and honed his skills through hands-on, on-field training.
Starting the business was a leap of faith—Ben was raising a young family and faced the challenges of building a company from the ground up. Despite the risks, his commitment to faith, family, and relationships laid the foundation for a business that continues to thrive today.
Ben’s proudest moments come from seeing the impact his work has on the community and the strong team he’s built. What sets his business apart is a genuine dedication to quality, integrity, and personal connection with every client.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys traveling, golfing, and spending time with his wife, three kids, two dogs, and even a cow. His entrepreneurial spirit is fueled by a love for learning, a strong work ethic, and the belief that relationships are at the heart of every successful venture.
Looking ahead, Ben is excited about growing the business and mentoring the next generation of tradesmen.
Nick Hampton
President
Nick Hampton serves as President of Haco, bringing over 20 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry. A journeyman commercial electrician by trade, Nick’s career has taken him through nearly every facet of the field, giving him a sharp understanding of the work and a strong foundation for leadership.
Nick joined Haco six years ago, leveraging his deep industry knowledge and passion for building to lead with integrity, drive results, and foster a reliable, high-performing team. His leadership is shaped by real-world experience and a commitment to excellence, with a daily focus on supporting his team, delivering for clients, and helping others grow professionally.
Known for his work ethic, honesty, and relationship-first mindset, Nick believes that every successful project starts with trust and teamwork. He’s proud to lead a company that not only produces top-quality work but also contributes meaningfully to its community and industry.
Outside of work, Nick enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife, and their two children. Looking ahead, he’s focused on expanding the business and reaching new milestones—always grounded in the same values that have guided him from the start.
Jack Ballue
Vice President and Project Manager
Jack Ballue serves as Vice President and Project Manager at Haco, bringing nearly 18 years of experience in the electrical industry, including 13 years with Haco. His journey began in 2007, working alongside his uncle, where he quickly developed a deep appreciation for the trade and the challenges it presents. That early hands-on experience laid the foundation for a career built on hard work, precision, and a strong sense of responsibility.
With a background in business from college and extensive field experience, Jack has cultivated a skill set that blends technical expertise with strategic project management. His time as an estimator sharpened his attention to detail and taught him how to plan and manage jobs efficiently and accurately.
Jack is deeply committed to values like clear communication, building trust, punctuality, and work ethic. He believes every successful project starts with strong relationships—both with the client and the internal team. He’s proud to help lead a company that not only delivers top-quality work but also contributes meaningfully to its community and industry.
Outside of work, Jack enjoys golfing, deer hunting, watching football, and spending time with his wife Megan, and their two young children. His biggest motivation comes from his team and his personal drive to be the best version of himself. That self-discipline and relationship-focused mindset are what make him an effective leader and a trusted partner on every job.
